Tonight on The Technology Tailor Show
BIG SHOW tonight on WGN Radio. The action starts at 6.
(All times are Central Standard)
At 6:05 PM - The Australian researcher Brent Coker joins me live from Melbourne to discuss his study, one of the biggest tech news items of the week. Coker found that personal Internet browsing at work up to 20% of your time can increase your productivity by 9 percent. His study is here: http://voice.unimelb.edu.au/news/5750/
At 7:05 PM - The video rental-by-mail services Netflix and Blockbuster are making news this week, not for GOOD reasons. Netflix raised prices on Blu-ray rentals, and Blockbuster now counts off-the-shelf in-store rentals as part of our monthly total. Not a good time be raising prices and decreasing value. What’s left for us by-mail renters?
At 7:40 PM - ING Direct’s Scott Lugar, head of customer direct lending, joins me to discuss the online banking experience, and how it’s different from using a bricks-and-mortar bank. Of course, we’ll discuss security as well. ING Direct has a neat history — they’ve never had “branches.”
